Biography
Born in Tehran in 1948. Bachelor or Science London's Queen Mary College, University of London, UK.
Studied Fine Arts at Mid-west City College, USA and Solihull College, UK. I am a Member of "Maison des Artistes" France as well as "Iranian Artists Forum" Iran, since 1979.
Since 1987, I have regularly participated in art auction sales at the Art Drouot, Bonhams, Sothebys as well as other online auction domains.Listed on the Akoun “La Cote des Peintres” as Abol.Having worked with nouvelle figuration in France for many years; I finally took up calligraphy in 1996 after returning to Iran and studying closely the sacred art of Calligraphy.
I am currently undertaking large formats works of art, particularly in Thuluth, Kufic, Naskh and lately Nastaligh for my modern contemporary mystic calligraphy works of art.
Being a huge admirer of Jalal-e-din Mollana "Rumi" the great Persian Sufi and Poet, who was an enormous source of inspiration to me, I have dedicated many of my calligraphy works to him.
